In the latter part of the year, New Lynn’s massive transport centre and rail trench project made for some fascinating viewing:

A new station at Grafton, replacing Boston Road, began to emerge:

In preparation for the Rugby World Cup, Kingsland’s station started to see a revamp – longer platforms and an underpass across Sandringham Rd:

Avondale’s new station took shape:

Commuters began to see their morning haunt improved – such as Ellerslie’s station:

We are getting a new rail line for Auckland – and work on it began at Manukau:

And Onehunga will re-open . A new station for it is already being built at Te Papapa.
