A fire in a train carriage at Boston Rd this morning caused the evacuation of the train and a backlog of services.fire

No one was hurt and passengers left the train at the stop. It was an early morning Britomart-bound train.

Early reports say a diesel generator ignited. Western line train services were halted for a time and when services resumed, they seemed to crawl past the area.

What you mean trains considered to old for service in Perth in the early 90s are literally blowing up..? Colour me suprised…

  3. I can’t say I would shed a tear if all the old, out of date Ex-Perth rolling stock caught fire. Though, only if modern, new rolling stock was ready to replace it!
